Lost dog found seven years after disappearing

A puppy lost nearly a decade ago has turned up thousands of miles from home. They say every dog has his day, and for one seven year old Weimaraner named Jake, Tuesday was definitely it.

Pit bull puppy taken from Ashland Avenue yard

NIAGARA FALLS—An 8-week-old American pit bull puppy was stolen from the yard of an Ashland Avenue home on Friday afternoon, police said. The owner told police a witness saw a man enter his yard and take the dog sometime between 2 and 3 p.m. The victim was in the hospital at the time.
