Thames Valley Animal Welfare (TVAW) is trying to find homes for a number of cats, including seven-year-olds Marty and Gizzy.

Several local animal shelters are using websites such as Petfinder.com, hoping to bring the animals at their facilities more exposure and a permanent home.

Abandoned Paws Rescue lists pets online

Abandoned Paws Rescue in Glendale has joined other animal welfare organizations in the area that list their homeless pets on Petfinder.com, a database of adoptable animals on the Internet. The site has more than 359,000 homeless pets listed and is updated continuously.
