Puppies found frozen in back of truck

Five newborn boxer puppies were found dead in the back of a pick-up truck Sunday outside a Quebec SPCA office across the river from Ottawa.

A dog left in the back of a pickup truck in frigid weather while giving birth was recovering Wednesday with five of her nine newborn puppies. Four of the female’s litter froze to death before they were found behind the Outaouais SPCA by workers at the shelter early Sunday morning.
